Most of the plot of land for sale is on a lower level of the hillside, protected against the wind, but as it is possible to build on the higher level as well, one can enjoy good views of the Souda Bay and the Lefka Ori.

The village is located at a higher altitude and has maintained its traditional architectural style even more so than the other villages with its narrow roads, beautiful gates and tiled roofs.
The coastline northwest of the village is an extremely interesting place for a stroll due to the ground formation and the caves, such as the cave of Petsi (or Karavotopos). And after a small drive down hill one will reach the village of Almirida with its nice small beach and all kind of amenities.
